I read everything that arrives here, and I reply to most of it. If you are planning a move to Chiang Mai and something in a guide did not answer your question, that is exactly the kind of email I want.
What I can help with
- Questions about something I have written. If a figure is out of date or a process has changed, I would rather hear it from you than leave it wrong.
- Corrections. Immigration rules, bank policies and prices all move. Tell me and I will check it and update the article.
- Press and partnerships. I am open to working with companies whose products I actually use.
What I cannot do
I am not a lawyer, an immigration agent, a tax adviser or a financial adviser, and nothing on this site is advice in any of those senses. I write down what I did and what it cost. Your circumstances will differ from mine, and for anything binding you should speak to a professional in the relevant country.
I also cannot process your visa, open your bank account or contact immigration on your behalf.
Who you are writing to
Cross Shore LLC — a company registered in Kanagawa, Japan in October 2025. I am its founder, Wataru Otsubo. I split the year between Kamakura and Chiang Mai, and I write these guides from doing it rather than reading about it.
